The Roswell Park Regional Continuing Medical Education (CME) Program was established to provide support and resources to community hospitals, physicians and other health professionals providing care for cancer patients in their own communities.
The mission of Roswell Park Cancer Institute’s "Continuing Medical Education Program" is to provide health professionals with the most current information relating to advances in the field of oncology. A high priority is assigned to the timely transfer of this knowledge to community practitioners, since they diagnose up to 80% of all cancers in their offices.
The Institute is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to offer CME credits in three general areas: continuing medical education for health care professionals, medical grand rounds at RPCI and continuing education conferences.
As part of its regional educational support effort, Roswell Park Cancer Institute provides Continuing Medical Education programs which can aid physicians and medical staff in decision making related to cancer diagnosis, treatment and follow-up care.
Physicians may take an online CME course through the New York State Smokers' Quitsite.
