Summer fellowship opportunities are available to medical and health professional students at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.  These summer experiences allow students to expand their horizons in the care and treatment of the cancer patient and participate in state-of-the-art clinical research.

Roswell Park Summer Program for Medical and Physician Assistant Students

Explore the mysteries of the cancer cell by participating in a basic scientific research program. Special emphasis is placed on cancer prevention through lectures and practical experiences. The Roswell Park program provides competitive stipend support (projected at $350 per week) for students in the health professions (medicine, dentistry, osteopathy) to engage in clinical and/or basic scientific research for an eight week period. Some funding is available to defray costs of room.

Pre-requisites:

The program is intended for students in the health professions (medicine, dentistry, osteopathy and physician assistants).

Program length:

June 4th to July 27, 2012 (Note: Dates of participation may be changed to accomodate your academic schedule)

University at Buffalo/Roswell Park Summer Fellowship Program in Infectious Disease, Microbiology and Immunology 

The Summer Research Fellowship Program is distinctive from the Roswell Park Summer Internship Program and is conducted jointly between Roswell Park Cancer Institute and University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. It offers its participants to undertake mentor-supervised research projects in the fields of: infectious diseases, microbiology and immunology. Pre-requisites: 

The program is intended for medical students completing their first year of medical school. (Program takes place in the summer between first and second year of medical school.) 

Program Length:

Starts in late May 2012 and lasts ten weeks
