The Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) Office of International Collaboration in Oncology (OICO) is an independent free-standing office.

The OICO goals and objectives:

• Establishes collaborative training agreements between RPCI and international hospitals, universities and cancer centers

• Develops various training programs in the areas of clinical support services, basic/translational science, nursing, medical/surgical oncology and other disciplines of oncology educational training activities

• Establish policies, provides an oversight of the training programs and assists staff/trainee in implementing the training programs in accordance with the terms of a signed collaborative training agreement

• Provides opportunities of training for allied health care professionals, researchers, students, physicians, technicians, coordinators, data managers and nurses

• Locates resources and provides administrative leadership for the training of foreign allied health care professionals

A collaborative agreement was signed with King Fahad Specialist Hospital at Dammam (KFSH-D), Saudi Arabia on November 16, 2010. Future agreements are being negotiated with international health centers in other countries.
